Bio/Skills: I began sewing, largely self–taught, in 2004. Since then I have completed the University of Rhode Island's Master Seamstress I program in May 2008 and will begin Master Seamstress II in January 2009. I have experience in constructing many types of garments, particularly special occasion wear, tailored suits and also period clothing, particularly of the Victorian era. I have extensive experience with corsetry. I also have some pattern drafting skills which I hope to augment by studying Advanced Patternmaking in spring 2009. At present I can copy most designs or ideas either by adapting an existing pattern or drafting a pattern from scratch.
