Skye Blue received her B.F.A. in Textiles from the Savannah College of Art and Design, in Savannah, Georgia. She has since managed a silk–screen apparel warehouse and assisted a Designer with her Lingerie production runs and shows. She currently owns a home–based sewing and alterations business called Skye Blue Can Sew.

I have lots of experience in prom and wedding dresses, custom draperies, men's and women's clothing, and alterations. I work from my home to be frugal, and be able to work for less money. I sew because I love it, and always try my best. I have done multiple hand beaded items as well as repair. I also embroider and applique.

Skills include: patter drafting, and fitting, altering, remaking garments, industrial machine for heavyweights, up to 1/4 inch leather, hardware: grommets, buckles, rivets, snaps, you name it, combining elements of two or more favorite articles to make one that fits just right.

bio: I sew out of necessity, making and altering my own clothes. I rarely use new fabric and specialize in "remaking" clothes as they did in pre–industrial times. I salvage leather jackets and make them into books, aprons and accessories.

I have a degree in Technical Theatre, emphasis in costuming and crafts, and I have 3 years experience working in a costume shop. I've attached a resume for a full list of stitching/design history and skills. I am located at SE Stark and 133rd Ave.
