During his decade at the Rocky Mountain News in Denver, Rick was responsible for converting the photo department from film–based photography to the use of all digital photographic technology. This task included not only using digital cameras, but also transmitting the images back to the Rocky Mountain News from across the globe so they could be published in the next day's paper. Rick has served on faculties for seminars and conferences designed to train U.S. and international photo staffs in the use of digital photographic equipment, computers and software. After his career with the Rocky Mountain News, Rick started his freelance photography business in 2004. He specializes in editorial, sports, corporate, portrait and wedding photography. He contintues to shoot for the RMN on a freelance basis.

I am a student at the Art Institute of Colorado. I took the past six months off to live in Dallas, TX to work more in the field of fashion. In the past six months I have worked for famous photographer Dan Couto, Liz Vonhoene, JCPenny (numerous times as a digital tech and photo assistant), Neiman Marcus (numerous times)and including Neiman Marcus' "The Book" as a photo assistant/ supportive tech, Dallas Cowboys 2008 Catalogue, and Dal Tile.
