Growing up in Lithuania I remember spending many hours lost in my mothers closets ruffling through her dresses of printed fabric and denim. My mother was a very free spirited woman in our very conservative country, and it showed in her style. Her lines were classic and her palette was far reaching. It wasn't uncommon to make things yourself where I grew up. I'd grab a few of my grandmothers gold buttons and some of my mom's fabric to make uniforms for my band named Coma . Designing was, and is a natural extension of of myself and a strong part of the bond I have with my mother. I launched my first fashion show in Lithuania at age 16.

I have been working on my lines Peace by PieceTM and Recycled LyfstyleTM for couple years now. The marriage of my individual point of view and the ideas present in sustainable living came natural. I've always loved the power that fashion has to help shape and mold society. I believe we each have a responsibility to consider the impact we have on the planet and environment that surrounds us all. I choose to stay informed in ways of conscious choices and am constantly exploring ideas that support the lifestyle of like~minded individuals. A current project of mine in brief is where I've created a number of silhouettes that can be chosen by a consumer. I then create say, a cocktail dress from a t–shirt mailed to me by that consumer. Why not re–purpose that fabric into something both personal, fabulous and "green thinking"? A few samples of the versatility in this idea are being created in these very moments. I enjoyed gains made by selling particular pieces from my Peace by Piece TM line of handbags in Venice, CA boutique Hacked Club and also freelanced as wardrobe stylist for store events and photo shoots.
While creating my line in spring 2008 I worked for a stylist Jeffrey Relf as a intern assistant and wardrobe dresser. Dressing for L.A. Fashion Week spring 2008 was a great experience, one I'll always remember! In the midst of stylistic demands, scalding hot steamers and half naked bodies being pinned and draped in fabrics of all kinds; there is an excitement like no other. Also had a experience assisting at couple runway shows at California Mart.

Right now I'm trying to get my own business of the ground. I'm in a mitts of my website design, marketing plan and mass production. Online fashion magazine fashionberry is doing a story on me and my line and that should come out on december 15th on fashionberry.com
