The images on my web site have been shot during a 25–year career as a photojournalist and
professional photographer in Hawke's Bay, New Zealand
.
My experience is varied, from covering the 1990 Commonwealth Games, capturing the
spectacular Mt Ruapehu Eruption, and getting up close and personal with celebrities such as
Sir Paul McCartney and the Naked Chef, Jamie Oliver.

I have been honoured over the last few years with recognition throughout New Zealand, and
globally. In the 2000 Qantas Media Awards I was awarded Best Single Photograph of the Year
– Boy Playing in Mud and Runner–Up in the Best Senior Portfolio . I was also privileged to be
one of select few to be published, and receive a special Judges Award, in the Millennium
Book , a worldwide photographic project to capture the first rays of sun in the year 2000.

In addition to these achievements, I also have my work on the Mount Ruapehu Eruption
displayed in the National Museum of New Zealand, Te Papa, in Wellington.

As a Qualified member of the New Zealand Institute of Professional Photographers my career
has provided me with considerable experience with Corporate and Commercial work, Aerial
Photography, News and Press Releases, Family and Weddings, along with general Stock
