Privacy Policy

This document outlines the types of personal information we receive and collect when you use Fashions.Org's ('Fashions') products and services, and the safeguards we take to protect your information.

Public Information

General: A limited amount of information we collect from you is publically viewable by other members and guests. This information is solely used for the purpose to assist the member/guest in searching and identifying professional registry listings and showcases. This information is restricted to:

  1. Member Account Name
  2. State / Country

Registry: Members who are registered with the International Fashion RegistryTM may elect to provide additional public information for business purposes. For your security, we recommend that you do not publish personal address, email and phone numbers, in lieu of a business address, email and phone number.

Private Information

You need a Fashion Professional (Designer) Account to create an Upstart Designer ShowcaseTM, a registry entry in the International Fashion RegistryTM, a posting in the Fashion Biz AdsTM, private resume/tearsheet hosting, or posting an event listing. When you create a fashion professional account, some personal information will be required to create the account. We protect access to this personal information by requiring an alternate contract (email address) and password.

Private Listing

Members may elect to not be listed in the International Fashion RegistryTM by selecting the 'No Listing in Registry (private only)' setting. Member's with private listings may continue to use the other services of Fashions.Org, such as the Upstart Designer ShowcaseTM, the Fashion Biz AdsTM, and posting events. Members should note that when using such services, a limited amount of information is made public during the duration of the use of the service.

Internet Address

We may record the Internet address of visitors to our web sites for security purposes, or as required by the laws of the federal government of the United States and state and local laws within the jurisdictions of our operations.

Email Address

We do not collect or record email addresses of those visiting, posting or using the features of our web sites. We do require members to provide a personal email address for verification and contact purposes only. These email addresses are not available to the public and are not shared or sold to third parties. These email addresses and other personal information will be provided to law enforcement upon subpoena or if we suspect the possibility of criminal activity has or is occurring.

Business Contact

Members may publicly provide contact information for business purposes at their discretion. Members are solely responsible for determining, if any, to publicly provide business contact information. Business contact information is limited to fields in member's profiles labeled as: business name, business address, business phone, business email, web site, MySpace page, FaceBook page, LinkedIn, blog, eBay seller name, and etsy store.

We may presently or in the future share or sell business contact information for marketing, directory or other legitimate business purposes.

Cookies

We use cookies to store visitor's session for authentication purposes across our web pages and web sites. Some operations of our web site may not be functional for visitors who disable cookies. Deleting your cookies between visits of our web site will not degrade the use of our web sites.

Opt-out

If you do not want to receive e-mail from us for promotional purposes in the future, you may elect to opt-out by selecting the 'Opt-out' option. Members may also opt-out by letting us know by sending us an e-mail to info@fashions.org. You will continue to receive email from us on matters relating to account changes, policy changes or the security of your account.

Comments and Correspondence

The company reserves the right to publish for promotional purposes all or portions of correspondence and comments made to the company by members.

Violations

Only authorized employees may access your private information, and are required to adhere to our strict privacy policies. Any employee who violates the privacy policy is subject to termination, and possibly criminally prosecuted for their violation.

Any member ('designer') who attempts to access private information of another member is subject to account suspension of termination, and possibly criminally prosecuted for their violation.

Any other individual or entity whom attempts to access private information of our members will be reported to law enforcement and possibly criminally prosecuted for their violation.
